Using a holistic, Functional, MIND-BODY Integrative approach, I go deep with my clients to get to the root cause of why they are on the fast-track to burnout, experiencing fatigue, anxiety, weight gain, GI distress and more. Why they feel “out of whack” and out of control. Then, we make meaningful changes that are sustainable, practical, and really work.

It's time you finally figured out what is going on in your body and mind, so you can finally feel better and heal. You've tried all sorts of different methods and modalities, seen doctors and healers, and you still have unanswered questions and unaddressed symptoms. I'm a neurologist by training, a functional medicine physician by design, and I have merged my conventional medical knowledge with the holistic healing modalities of both Integrative Nutrition and Functional Medicine, along with meditation and mindset work.

What is Functional Medicine? It's a question I get asked a lot, and the answer I always give is that it's the search for the true root causes of disease and illness, rather than simply treating symptoms. It's the WHY behind the WHAT. The same symptom can be caused my many things, and the same underlying condition can cause all sorts of different symptoms in any given individual. That's what I'm here to figure out. I also take into account lifestyle factors - that stressful job or unhealthy relationship that is sabotaging your health and draining your energy.

I like to think of myself as a medical detective, seeing patterns and connecting the dots where others may have said "everything's fine" or "we can't figure out what's wrong with you" or "your labs were all normal" and yet you still feel like you can't get out of bed in the morning.

In this session, we will go on a brief journey through your past, the story of your current symptoms, when they started, what is going on in your life, what has helped, what hasn't, what makes things worse and what makes things better. We will answer any questions about the coaching process, the commitment, the expected outcomes and whether this is a good fit for you in order to achieve your goals.

Option 2: The OPTIMUM The Functional Lab Experience

So many women come to me saying “my doctor says my labs are normal, so why do I feel so awful? In functional medicine, we take a unique approach to laboratory testing and interpretation. We use lab testing as a tool, a piece of the puzzle to determine what the best course of action is to shift the balance, reset, restore, heal, remove and replace:

  • Critical examination of standard labs looking for OPTIMAL vs SUBOPTIMAL values (not just what is “normal”)

  • Three 50-minute 1:1 sessions conducted over Zoom with me, Dr. Rubin

  • Review of health history, systems, symptom inventory

  • Recommendations for SPECIALIZED testing (DUTCH, GI Map, OAT, IgG Food Allergens, Toxins/Heavy Metals) as needed
